Romero's Garage 1990 (4)

Highway 54, 8th street, the corner of Magnolia street, Vaughn, New Mexico United States.
These photographs were taken while me and my son were travelling from Los Angeles to Florida. As we were approaching the town of Vaughn in New Mexico, we spotted all these old American classics behind the back of Romero's garage.
Wanting to know more about them we stopped for a coffee in the town and I enquired about the car's and the garage. Someone told me that during in the sixty's the two sons who worked with her father in the garage were killed in a road accident.
The distressed father closed and boarded up all the windows and doors and the garage was never reopened.
Recently looked on Google earth and now all the cars have gone.
Perhaps you know the true story about the garage or where those cars are now?
Post your photos and information for all to enjoy
